Yee Haw!

The Rapp family has been busy! Lucy started going to her new sitter's house last week and it is going great! Apparently, the little girls asked their mom all weekend when Lucy was coming back to visit! When I picked her up on Tuesday they were playing with her on the floor and making her laugh. She was having a great time!




This past weekend I had the honor of standing up in my friend Michelle's wedding. Lucy went to the ceremony with Dad and was a great baby during the service! Nana and Poppy Jacoby came up and stayed with Lucy at the hotel while Marcus and I attended the reception! We had a great time at the wedding and reception, but was glad to see Lucy at the end of the night!





Grandma and Grandpa Rapp were on vacation in Cheyenne, Wyoming last week and they couldn't believe how much she changed in one week! They bought her a great pink cowgirl hat - that will be sure to be in many pictures to come! I have a feeling she is going to like country music just like her mom and Grandpa Rapp!

Can you believe it? Two posts in two days! Lucy is getting a lot more interactive and is so much fun!

Lucy steals Schroeder's Piano

Let's hope she enjoys piano more than her mom did when she was little. This is her new favorite toy and I think it is going to provide Mom with a little extra time during the day! Best $1 garage sale find ever!

Dad is worried she is going to grow up to be addicted to the slot machines! :)

Summer days drifting away!

I can't believe it is already mid-July! How is Lucy already 11 weeks?

She is growing like a weed! Last week at her 2.5 month appointment she was 12 lbs. 14 oz (85%) and 23 inches long (60%). I was 21.5 inches long when I was born, so I tend to think she's a little short, but she may be gaining speed (or should I say height).

She is also becoming so much more alert of her surroundings. She loves her play mat and can wiggle herself in a full circle within a matter of minutes. She also is gaining a lot of control with her hands. Not only can she grab many of her hanging toys that are attached to the play mat, but she can now pull her pacifier out of her mouth too! She then supplements her WHOLE fist into her mouth instead. :)

She is also becoming more vocal and loves to smile! When she wakes up in the morning she giggles so much she gives herself the hiccups! She is just too cute!

Recovering from Vacation

At home! At last! We made it! Lucy's return airplane trip was just as uneventful as her first! What a good baby we have! She did great on the plane and is glad to be home! She's catching up on her naps and getting back into her normal schedule!

Marcus was playing with her before this picture was taken. He got up for a second put her on the couch and when he came back a few minutes later this is what he found. She was plum tuckered out!

Hilton Head 2009

We are currently half way through our summer vacation in Hilton Head. Back in the day I used to wake up early to get a good chair by the pool - now I look forward to how late Lucy will sleep. I also throughly look forward to a nice long nap in the afternoon (who cares if I am missing the best sun of the day!) :)
